With
Kaspersky 7, you can download update file from Kaspersky website then execute that file to update virus database for computers that do not connect to Internet. However,
Kaspersky 8 only allows you to update online. So what will we do for computers without Internet? Let’s view my tip here:

- First you must have a computer using Kaspersky Antivirus 8 or Kaspersky Internet Security 8 and that computer must connect to Internet.
- Open Kaspersky, select Settings > Update then press Restore… a new dialog will appear, and choose Source in Advanced restoration settins field and click Yes to restore the virus database back to the original.
- In Update window, choose Settings…, then tab Additional. In During Update field, choose Update databases and application program modules to update database and upgrade the program modules as well. In After Update field, choose Copy updates to folder and then click Browse…, and choose the folder you want to save the virus database. And press OK to finish.
- Update your Kaspersky now.
- After updating your Kaspersky, copy the folder you has specified at the step 3 to USB or CD or some storage devices in order to bring this folder to other computer.
- On other computer without Internet, start Kaspersky and choose Settings > Update > Settings… In tab Source, choose Add and select the folder you store the database at step 4. Then press OK twice. Now you just have to click Update.
